here is a list of every company that has ghosted me or otherwise pissed me off during the job search:
layoffs should not be allowed. we should be publicly shaming every company that lays off its employees. it should be absolutely devastating to businesses to lay off employees. in situations where an org or nonprofit etc has lost state funding etc and that has led to layoffs, the state should be required to find new equivalent acceptable work for all laid off employees, or pay all their expenses until they find new work. if a company lays off employees, the same should be true. but again it should publicly devastate them. also it goes without saying: we should not have to pay/work to live in the first place.
you simply cannot pretend that this system is not broken or more accurately operating as intended (and it is intended to be cruel)
