things have been hard lately. here are some things i'll try to feel like a person today:
- 8.21.2025 (the night of 8.20.2025): i'm going put a cold, wet paper towel against my forehead, breathe deeply 5 times, stretch 5 times, eat a spoonful of the corn and beans i've got in my fridge, and put my ear to shadow's back to hear him purr. then i'm going to watch an episode of cherry magic.
other things that will/have/might help:
- getting a donut and tea from the place down the street.
- walking to the cafe up the hill.
- standing on the beach.
- washing the bathmats.
- dusting, sweeping, mopping with the windows open.
- having the tea my friend brought me back from germany.
- carrying shadow around the inside of the apartment building in the middle of the night.
- calling my mom.
- listening to murderbot again.
- having my friend pick a random episode of the magnus archives for me to relisten to.
- taking pictures and videos with my old camera.
- eating/holding ice cubes.
- mailing something to my friend.
- playing with shadow.
- taking deep breaths.
- stretching.
- asking my friend to drive me somewhere. maybe up into the hills especially.
- listening to nothing.
- slow down. zoom out. quiet.
- icing my leg the way i used to for physical therapy.
