i was a freeform college radio dj for about 4 years. i recently looked back at some of my old playlists. here's an old directory of some of them. for context, some station rules: no songs from albums that had charted over 40 on any list at the time (ignoring heatseekers), no songs that had over 1 mill views on youtube, no more than 2 songs by a given artist per academic quarter (if you were subbing somebody else's show, though, you could play a given artist twice in that one show). a good number of these songs have since charted over 40 or have since gotten over 1 mill views. also, some of the songs are by bands i hate now. i'll probably remove them from the playlists, so this isn't really a perfect and unadulterated archive. additional note: i had a folk punk-specific show for a while, but i can't find playlist records for that one for some reason.
